Audigo Studio 6.0 for iOS is here, with new tools in both the included Studio app and the optional Studio+ plan. Vocalists get two features our creator community has been asking for - Vocal Tune and Vocal Separation - and every Audigo customer gets more flexible, time-saving tools at their fingertips.
We believe Audigo should keep getting better long after you first receive it. That's why every release aims to add something for everyone. 6.0 is no exception, and with no change to what you pay for Audigo or Studio+. Now in the included Studio app
With 6.0, Compression, Delay and Automatic Soundcheck move from the Studio+ plan to the free Studio app.
Automatic Soundcheck
Automatic Soundcheck sets your recording levels for you before you hit record, and it works with up to four Audigo mics at once. No more guessing at gain, test takes that clip, or quiet recordings you have to rescue later.
When to use it: before any session, but especially multi-mic recordings of a band or ensemble, or any time you want to get from setup to recording in seconds.
Compression
Compression narrows the gap between the loudest and softest moments in a track, so your recording sounds more controlled, even, and polished. Compression works on any source, from a strummed guitar to a full band.
When to use it:

A vocal jumps out on the chorus and disappears on the verse.

A dynamic instrument, like fingerpicked guitar or piano, needs to sit steadily in the mix.

A drum track needs more power and punch.
Delay
Delay adds echoes that fill out a sound and give it space and depth. Delay is a quick way to make a dry recording feel bigger.
When to use it:

Add subtle depth behind a lead vocal.

Give a solo instrument or sparse arrangement more room to breathe.

Make a recording from a small, dry room sound more open.
New in Studio+
Version 6.0 adds three tools built for vocalists and instrumentalists to Studio+ , including the two our creator community has asked for most: Vocal Tune and Vocal Separation.
Vocal Tune
Vocal Tune gives vocalists three pitch-correction modes:

Natural: pitch correction that keeps a vocal in tune and consistent while still sounding like you.

Hard: pitch correction paired with a more stylized effect, for when the tuned sound is part of the song.

Harmonizer: pitch correction that adds harmonies to the track for a fuller, layered vocal.
When to use it:

Natural on a keeper take with a few pitchy notes

Hard when you want a bold, modern vocal sound

Harmonizer to build out a chorus or hook without recording extra vocal parts
Vocal Separation
Vocal Separation pulls the vocal out of a recording and places it on its own dedicated track in your project. The original track stays in place with the vocal removed, so you get a clean vocal and a clean instrumental you can adjust independently. Add effects to just the vocal, set its level against the instruments, or tune it with Vocal Tune.
When to use it:

You're a singer-songwriter who recorded guitar or piano and vocals on a single mic, and the vocal needs its own effects and level.
Stem Mixer
The Stem Mixer lets you adjust the levels of drums, bass, vocals and other instruments within a track.
When to use it:

Balance a singer-songwriter performance recorded on one mic.

Adjust levels of a group of musicians who recorded together around a single mic.

Turn down an individual instrument so you can record your own part over it for a custom cover.
Vocal Separation or Stem Mixer? Reach for Vocal Separation when you want the vocal as its own track to process and mix separately. Reach for the Stem Mixer when you want to rebalance drums, bass, vocals and other instruments within a single track.
Workflow upgrades that make every session faster
6.0 also smooths out the everyday moments of recording and editing, all in the included Studio app:

Duplicate Track or Project: copy a track or an entire project to try different effects or build an alternate mix, all while your original stays safe.

Video Import: bring in an existing video and layer new audio tracks on top.

Lyrics on Screen: keep lyrics or performance notes in view while you record. Add them from the project details screen.

New preferences: add time markers to the track stack to scrub to any point in your project.
